自然史博物館が生物学研究に関連する動画データのアーカイブを立ち上げようとする場合、権利処理や保管・公開方法等に課題が想定される。本研究では動画を研究データとして用いる生物学研究者にアンケート調査を行い、その課題の抽出を試みた。その結果、教育目的での利用可能性という点では、動画アーカイブには資料提供者・利用者双方のニーズがある。ただ、ウェブ公開や営利目的利用、目的が予想できない利用に対しては資料提供者側の抵抗感が強いことも示唆された。
