Museum Archives Guidelines by the Society of American Archivists

This presentation shows the recent approval procedure of the Museum Archives Guidelines of the Society of American Archivists (SAA) Museum Archives Section, On the draft of the guidelines, it was reported at the 6th Research Conference in April 2021, The guidelines were approved in February, 2022 and the precise process was opened in the minutes of the Council in May, 2022. The differences between the draft and the actual approved guidelines will be discussed. In addition, the activities of museum archives that the presenter has visited in the United States and their examples of “digital archive” will be introduced.
