Consideration on Human Resource Development of Theatre Archivist

While introducing the activities of the Drama Museum's project, known as the "Donut Project," and the current state of archiving in the performing arts field in Japan and abroad, this presentation will examine the challenges and prospects for the development of archivists in the performing arts field in Japan. While there are some distinctive activities of archiving/digital archiving in the performing arts field in Japan, such as activities by individual institutions and project projects, activities using communities and networks are limited. This presentation will focus on this point, and will also discuss the roles required of archivists in the performing arts field and their definitions.
