The Song of Vilification by Han People of Zi Yang in China

Swearing songs are sung at funerals. They are sung by “singers” commissioned by the bereaved family members to curse at each other. The purpose of the songs is to enliven the occasion of the funeral in Ziyang, where people respect a lively funeral service.

日時/2008年8月17日 場所/中国陝西省紫陽県任河嘴漢江橋頭(權春国の自宅) 歌い手/王安銀 言語/漢語紫陽方言 撮影者/飯島奨 内容/悪口歌は葬儀の時に歌われる。遺族が依頼した「歌師」同士が相手を罵るために歌う。目的は紫陽県の葬儀は賑やかな葬儀が人々に尊ばれ、場を盛り上げるために歌う。
