Near the critical solution point, the interfacial tension   between the coexisting two liquids exponentialy decrease upon cooling. This reduced the adsorption energy of silica particle at the liquid-liquid interface and resulted in the desoption of the particles to the aqueous phase (Pickering emulsion demulsification).
