Each analysis was performed on a different grain.</p> <p><strong>Table S3. </strong>Major and trace element compositions of apatite from the studied tuffs, analyzed using wavelength disper  sive spectrometry on an electron probe microanalyser (JEOL 8530F). Each analysis was performed on a different grain.</p>
