Mass flowering area of dwarf bamboo Sasa sect. Sasa in Hokkaido in 2022–2023
The flowering levels of the dwarf bamboo Sasa sect. Sasa were surveyed along major roads by Integrated Grid Square of Japan (so-called 2nd mesh, 5 min. along latitude, 7 min. 30 sec. along longitude, ca. 10 km square) to determine the area of mass flowering in Hokkaido, northern Japan in 2022 and 2023.
Categories
0: No flowering were found
1: Small flowering areas were slightly found
2: Flowering patches were occasionally found
3: Approximately half of Sasa sect. Sasa were in flowering
4: Most of Sasa sect. Sasa were in flowering
9: Sasa sect. Sasa were not found
Null: Not surveyed
Files
CSV file (Sasa2022-2023.csv) includes Mesh ID and data for 2022 and 2023.
GeoPackage file (Sasa2022-2023.gpkg) was created with 2nd mesh grid (Biodiversity Center of Japan, Ministry of the Environment). Coordinate Reference System is WGS84 (EPSG: 4326).
