The list shows fossil sirenian taxa reported from Japan with the ages, the localities and references. The list is based on Furusawa (2005, Kaseki) with some additions and corrections, and later fossil records are added. Additional fossils are from Nagasawa et al. (2003, Applied Geology of Yamagata; 2008, The 115th Annual Meeting of the Geological Society of Japan), Kohno et al. (2007, Kaseki), Research Group for Fossil Sirenia from Myoken (2008, Bulletin of Nagaoka Municipal Science Museum), Yonaga et al. (2018, Bulletin of the Omachi Alpine Museum) and Mori et al.
